The Minister for Trade and Industry, John Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten, has failed to honour a promise to pay for all nomination forms for every aspiring polling station executive.
The aspiring presidential candidate of the ruling party, according to news items flying around in the media on Friday, February 18, 2022, said he’d paid for all the nomination forms for all aspiring polling station executives.
Many hours after this news, the said pledge is yet to be redeemed as monies accompanying same have not been paid to the party whether at the national level or constituency levels.
Credible information picked up from Mr. Kyeremanten’s camp indicates that the Trades Minister’s coordinators put in charge of this exercise have failed to pay the monies to the party as pledged.
National, regional and constituency officers contacted over this matter have all denied receiving these monies. According to them, they are treating the pledge as a rumour and that if it was true, almost 24 hours of getting wind of it, it’d have come.
According to them, the Vice President has paid for the nomination fees all the incumbent polling station executives across the country.
Nominations for the party’s polling station elections were opened on Saturday, 19th February, 2022. The entire exercise is expected to last for two weeks.
