Whenever the cat is out of town or taking a respite, the mice have a field day, so goes the popular adage.
They roam aimlessly around the house, cause destruction to items they come into contact with, and spoil food items in the house as well.
Hardly would they keep the place clean. They also hit their chests, chant boastful melodies and accord themselves undeserving accolades.
This is the case of Vice President Bawumia. When he was not talking about the economy for a few weeks, John Mahama and his half-baked economists and acolytes went to town, running riots with the state of affairs with respect to the economy.
John Mahama even said that Dr. Bawumia has run away from speaking about economic issues simply because Ghana’s economy has been reeling from the ravages of COVID-19 and the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
The Vice President, as was announced earlier, is speaking tomorrow. He is speaking about the economy, with particular emphasis on where we were, where we are now and why we find ourselves in our current situation. Of course, other topical issues will also be highlighted.
The mice, (Mahama and his charges), are quivering over this phenomenon. They are preparing not to respond to Dr. Bawumia on what he will say about the economy but to heap vitriol on him.
Bawumia is about to speak and trust the NDC to quake in their boots. Mahama and his people catch a cold anytime Bawumia speaks. He continues to remain their worse nightmare.
