Vice President Bawumia was joined by the Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu and other Muslims on the 22nd of April, 2022 for the Iftar session of Ramadan.
The Iftar, as explained by the Muslim clerics, is a session held to break the Ramadan fast. This specific session was glorified in its identification as the clergies came together to hold a feast at the presidency.
The occasion was not limited to the Muslim Community as other leading members of the Christian faith also joined the group.
In a Facebook post on the official page of the Vice President, he stated that
The Iftar is a special meal to break the Ramadan fast for the day, and it was beautiful to have in our midst, leading members of the Christian faith. Together with our Christian brothers, we thanked the Almighty God for His grace on our nation, and also prayed for the prosperity of our country and citizens
