Dr Mahamudu Bawumia announced negotiations with the National Sports Authority (NSA) to digitalize football tickets.
Dr Bawumia said the negotiations are advanced and that if adopted, spectators will be able to buy tickets for sports without having to stand in huge lines.
On March 2, he spoke at the formal unveiling of the computerized National Assay Laboratory in Accra.

Our success as a country in the contemporary world is intimately related to digitalization, and the government will continue to use it for improved service delivery,” the Vice President stated.
“It’s vital for our country’s future competitiveness. The government is ready to help any organization, public or private, adopt digital efficiency programs.
“We contacted the National Sports Authority to digitalize football tickets for the stadium. You should be able to purchase tickets online and walk inside the stadium without any (scheming) at all.
In the next months, you will see us all utilizing our phones to purchase football tickets throughout the nation.
