President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has eulogized the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu
Bawumia as a man who has been blessed with tremendous wisdom, knowledge and intelligence.
According to the president, God has put all the intelligence in the whole world in the head of the vice president, culminating in his super performance as the number 2 gentle man in the country.
The president who was speaking at the final rally of the ruling New Patriotic Party at the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, said ‘’this is Bawumia, God has put all the intelligence of the world in him, has taken his time to come up with a paper, detailing and chronicling our achievements and it shows that we have already fulfilled and delivered 41 of our promises to the Ghaanaian people within 2 years’’ the president said.
President Akufo-Addo said the NPP came into power to develop the country and make life comfortable for all Ghanaians, adding that his government was fixated at delivering even more of the promises it has made to the citizenry.
He said he was on course to putting his detractors, particularly the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to shame and will make them eat back all the nasty things they said about him during the 2016 electioneering campaign.
‘’We came to develop and transform Ghana. We are taking the country from where it was to a new level and higher heights. Within these two years, except that you’re blind or deaf, you would have seen or heard that the NPP government really came to move the country forward. Indeed, we haven’t finished with what we have set out to do, there is more in the pipeline’’ he added.
The Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election has been occasioned by the passing of the Member of Parliament for the area, Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko, who passed on at a health facility in the United States of America where he was undergoing treatment for an ailment.
His wife, Lydia Seyram Alhassan has been elected by the NPP to contest the seat on its behalf, in an election that has been slated for Thursday, January 31, 2019.
