As part of activities to celebrate Ghana’s 65th independence day celebration, the Hon member of parliament for Gushegu Hon Hassan Tampuli has donated 125 flat-screen TV sets to selected elderly men and women of the various zones of the Gushegu constituency. This is the first of a newly instituted program by the Hon MP to reward the senior citizens of the Constituency who had applied their youthful energies to the growth of the NPP in the Constituency over the years.
In his opening remarks, the NPP Gushegu constituency Chairman expressed profound gratitude to the Hon Hassan for the kind gesture, noting that this is a first of its kind in the Constituency. He congratulated those who were lucky to have been selected in this first batch and appealed to those who did not make it to the first list to exercise patience as they will be captured in subsequent years, as promised by the Hon MP.
In brief remarks, Hon Hassan Tampuli party people in the Constituency to continuously work towards party unity despite their personal differences. He noted that at all material moments, no person’s interest should supersede that of the party. He admonished the elders of the party in the Gushegu constituency to continue to pray for the party and discharge their shepherd roles in the Constituency by providing wise counsel to the young activists of the party in the Constituency to foster unity and growth of the party in Gushegu.
He assured the people that he will always keep an open door policy and be in constant touch with them. He noted that since the Dec 2020 elections, he has been in the Constituency not less than 60 times as a way of keeping in touch with the people. He also assured them that he will ensure Gushegu gets its fair share of the national cake.
With the assistance of constituency executives, presentations of flat-screen TV sets were made 125 men of women. Also present at the ceremony were the Northern Regional Director of communication, Mr Mohammed Sheriff.
