Mensah told Naa Ashorkor on Asaase Radio’s Between Hours, “I used to call her [Yvonne Nelson] on her landline and she’ll snub us and hang up”
The TikTok star Jackeline Mensah has confessed that she used to prank call Yvonne Nelson, the Ghanaian actress, model, film producer, when she was seven years old.
Mensah told Naa Ashorkor on Asaase Radio’s Between Hours, “I used to call her [Yvonne Nelson] on her landline.”
She explained: “I had a friend named Emmanuella, and I didn’t know where she generally got celebrity phone numbers, so we would simply call her and say, ‘Yvonne I’m a big fan,’ and when she picked up, she would snub us and hang up straight away.”
Jackie conceded: “But now I receive prank calls from others, and I do the same thing. When I answer the phone and realise it isn’t an essential call, I hang up.”
“Sometimes I’m so tired that I just hang up if it’s not business-related. Some of them say, ‘Can I meet you? Let’s meet at this spot.’”
Responding to Jackie’s memories of the childhood prank, Nelson said: “Perhaps they called and called and called. When they call, they don’t always say anything, and I receive a lot of such calls.
“It comes to the point where I’m tired of it and just hang up. These kids can worry, eh,” the 36-year-old actress said.
