It is about time the government conducted intensive audit scrutiny within the Executive Arm of CLOGSAG. As an association meant to protect the welfare of government workers, the onus lies with the Executives to ensure that there is proper accountability in terms of the overall management of the association.
Per some investigations I’ve made, it appears the executives are doing the opposite. Most of the executives have outlived their tenure but are still holding up positions and using public properties. Again, there are no proper Accounting Systems in place to put them to check. Monies used for whichever activity are not accounted for; there is no eye in watch of what goes on in the association.
The supposed audit team created to help investigate what goes on within the association is also not functional. This has created more room for members to misappropriate funds and engage in dubious deals.
As part of the mandates of the association, the executives are expected to lobby for the unemployed youth to get jobs but they are rather channeling the energy to extending their occupation and draining the public purse. There is no value for money because most of the executives have exited their productive capacity in terms of age.
Section of the executives is advocating for a stage against impunity in order to pave way for sanity in the association.
