The General Secretary of the NDC, Asiedu Nketia, also known as “General Mosquito”, has, in an interview on TV3 declared that he would like to contest for the flagbearership position of the NDC. He granted an interview with Jonnie Huges, TV3 morning show co-host to have a discussion on current trends in the political space.
In the course of the interview, he was quizzed on his political ambition which he boldly stated in clear terms his aspiration to be the flagbearer of his party and consequently become the president of the nation someday.
For what appears to be a futuristic quest, General Mosquito’s body language created a different impression that suggests his eagerness to have that ambition materialized in no time. As to the actualization of his intent, we leave it out to the course of time.

In Mosquito’s voice, he posited, “The ultimate goal of every politician is to rise to the position of president, thus, it is my aspiration that I will also become the president of Ghana.”
As to whether his quest to become the flagbearer of the NDC reveals a loss of hope in John Dramani Mahama, it is left in the hands of the party leadership.
