In response to the Russian military incursion in Ukraine, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky signed a proclamation ordering universal mobilization.
The “Declaration of General Mobilization” was published on President Volodymyr Zelensky’s website.
“Russian military action against Ukraine and guaranteeing the protection of the state, maintaining combat readiness and mobilization of the Ukrainian armed forces and auxiliary military formations,” the proclamation states.
“Due to the state of war, no Ukrainian men aged 18 to 60 will be permitted to depart. Menshikov said on Facebook: “Do not panic and do not enter the border without permission.”
A day after the Russian military campaign began, the Ukrainian president said “Russian soldiers have penetrated Kiev.”
He warned that “enemy sabotage organizations had invaded Kiev” and advised citizens to be careful and follow the curfew laws.
Following the commencement of the Russian military incursion in Ukraine, Zelensky declared a state of emergency.
