The E-levy tax measure which is currently undergoing deliberations in parliament has become a topical issue in Ghana. Series of town hall meetings have been held by the government through the various ministries, especially the ministry of finance, to explain its purpose and the benefits the nation stands to gain when passed. The town hall meetings have been in three regions now: Western region, Eastern region, and Northern region.
Conversations on the E-levy have not been dragged down, most especially, in the media space; radio and TV Stations hold panel discussions on E-levy on their shows almost on daily basis. The E-levy has become the talk of the day.
